Job Description

Seeking a Journeyman Electrician to perform installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial, industrial, and government projects. The role requires technical expertise, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with project teams while mentoring apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
• Mentor and guide apprentices in their training.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Solve technical problems related to electrical systems.

Essential Skills

• Journeyman electrician certification in NJ.
• 5+ years of commercial, industrial, or government electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of controls, motors, starters, limit switches, conduit bending, troubleshooting.
• OSHA safety training (40-hour preferred), EPA compliance familiarity.
• Blueprint and schematic reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ lbs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Clearance, fitness/physical assessments, and drug screening required.
• Possession of standard electrician tools.

Work Environment

This field-based role covers NJ and surrounding states (NY, SC, NC, MD, DE, PA), involving a mix of indoor and outdoor work in commercial and industrial facilities. The position includes physically demanding tasks in varied weather conditions.

This is a Contract position based out of Freehold, New Jersey.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
