Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator in a brand new warehouse, located in Mickleton, NJ. We are a global leader in food & beverage ingredients seeking skilled professionals to operate sit down forklifts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and is a great way to step into the industry.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with flexibility to work 9am-6:30pm when needed

Responsibilities

• Operate sit down and stand up forklifts.
• Pick orders accurately using RF scanning equipment.
• Manage and fulfill pick ticket orders.
• Pull and stage warehouse items for delivery based on number, size, and quantity.
• Ensure orders are accurate and staged correctly for delivery.
• Read and process incoming order requests.
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards.
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipping.
• Inspect and perform maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Identify and report safety hazards in the workplace.
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1+ years’ experience operating powered forklifts.
• Proficient in order picking and material handling.
• Experience with RF scanner and palletizing.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
• High regard for workplace safety.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Proficient in math and detail oriented.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with various material-handling equipment.
• Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with safety policies.

Work Environment

Work Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with flexibility to work 9am-6:30pm when needed. The distribution warehouse is located in Mickleton, NJ, and handles spices and coconut water, so be comfortable with the aroma. The building is not temperature controlled. Wear steel toe boots, work pants, and a top (long or short sleeve) without graphics or writing. Avoid sweatshirts or hoods with strings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mickleton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
