Job Title: Environmental Professional


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Professional (EP) to perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM E-1527-21. This role involves site reconnaissance, regulatory research, and technical report preparation for commercial and residential properties.


Responsibilities

  • Perform and prepare Phase I ESAs in accordance with ASTM E-1527-21.
  • Conduct records review, site reconnaissance, and identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), Business Environmental Risks (BERs), and non-scope items.
  • Conduct interviews and investigate regulatory listings.
  • Evaluate environmental compliance.
  • Manage research, field activities, and report preparation.
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Interpret data and prepare technical reports.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years performing Phase I ESAs.
  • Must meet the definition of an Environmental Professional per 40 CFR §312.10(b).
  • Experience with equity purchase and lender Phase I ESAs.
  • Proficiency in report writing and environmental compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of environmental remediation and investigations.
  • Experience with site inspection and environmental assessments.
  • Understanding of Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).

Work Environment

This position involves 85% office work and 15% fieldwork for site visits. The organization provides a dynamic work environment with opportunities to collaborate on projects nationwide and internationally, including the US territories, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
