Staff Surveyor

Job Description:

• Performing field tasks such as recovering survey markers, conducting boundary and topographic surveys, collecting utility data, and documenting site conditions through photography.
• Assisting with the collection of data and invert data to support mapping and design efforts.
• Gaining hands-on experience with emerging technologies, including UAV (drone) systems and 3D scanning tools.
• Supporting office operations with tasks such as CAD drafting, data processing, historical records research, and document organization.
• Helping maintain and troubleshoot survey instruments and related equipment.
• Staying informed on industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements through internal and external training opportunities.
• Contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality.

Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of experience in land surveying
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Degree in surveying is a plus, but not required
• Experience with laser scanning and point cloud technology
