Job Summary
The Process Analyst will provide evaluation, analysis, technical service, and project leadership in PSEG's Procurement's Center of Excellence (COE). In this role, you will create and enforce governance frameworks to ensure process integrity, compliance, and risk mitigation for Procurement processes, aligned with our core values—simplify, standardize, and centralize. Procurement cycle covers steps from RFP initiation through contract execution to purchase order (excluding inventory management).
You will use the procure-to-pay solution (SAP/Ariba), collect and evaluate data and existing processes to identify and evaluate opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across source-to-pay processes and technology. They will lead, facilitate, and communicate across stakeholder functions, lines of business, and suppliers; and they will establish system controls in accordance with policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Data-Driven Insights & Process Evaluation
• Collect, evaluate, and synthesize data from current procurement processes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement that enhance operational governance and overall efficiency.
• Translate data insights into actionable, governance-enhancing recommendations for management.
Procurement Governance & Compliance
• Design, implement, and refine standard governance frameworks that cover the entire procurement cycle—from the RFP stage through contract execution to the creation of purchase orders.
• Establish and enforce comprehensive policies and procedures that drive process consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement control mechanisms that proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular process audits and performance reviews using key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.
• Produce and maintain detailed documentation for governance policies, standards, and system controls.
• Stay informed of industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously refine the governance framework.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
• Lead, facilitate, and communicate with diverse stakeholders—ranging from line of business, IT, technical teams to suppliers and executive leadership—to ensure seamless governance implementation.
• Act as the point of contact for procurement governance issues, ensuring prompt resolution and alignment with organizational goals.
Technology & Continuous Improvement
• Collaborate with the technology lead of the COE to drive system enhancements that reinforce governance and improve process efficiency.
• Translate business challenges into technology-driven solutions that bolster procurement controls and compliance.
• Design and deploy technology solutions, leveraging common processes and technology integrations to scale improvements across the organization.
Project & Strategic Initiatives
• Participate in cross-functional projects focused on implementing governance initiatives that optimize process performance and mitigate risks.
• Provide regular updates on project milestones, risks, and progress to senior management and key stakeholders
