Job Title: Lab Technician – Fragrance Development

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lab Technician to support our fragrance design and development team. This role plays a critical part in the execution of creative fragrance projects by managing sample preparation, coordinating cross-functional workflows, and maintaining lab operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong organizational and communication skills to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sample Preparation & Support:
  • Provide backup support for fragrance compounding and formulation activities.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming sample requests to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate closely with perfumers and fragrance evaluators to align on project timelines and sample needs.
• Project Coordination:
  • Track and manage creative briefs and project timelines to ensure on-time execution.
  • Liaise with internal departments including sales, marketing, and shipping to support project flow and logistics.
• Lab & Inventory Management:
  • Maintain and organize the fragrance sample library, ensuring accurate labeling and storage.
  • Source raw materials and supplies as needed to support ongoing projects.
  • Assist with shipping and packaging of fragrance samples when logistics support is unavailable.
• Customer & Sales Support:
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the sales team regarding sample availability and status.
  • Respond to sample-related inquiries with a customer-focused approach, offering solutions and updates as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory or product development environment, preferably in the fragrance, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with lab management software is a plus.
• Comfortable working in an environment with strong scents and raw materials.
