Facilities Technician

Perform basic and routine facility maintenance, construction, and repair tasks in accordance with service, quality, and safety standards.

• Install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
• Utilize a work order system to log activities as required.
• Work with or assist trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
• Perform routine checks, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting inspections on facility infrastructure equipment such as fire systems, water systems, HVAC filtering systems, and facility GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) requirements.

• HVAC experience
• Repair and plumbing skills
• Carpentry and facilities maintenance
• Electrical experience, especially for HVAC work
• Installation and service skills
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams

• Basic carpentry knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of related experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
