Machine Technician

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production machinery. The machine operator will set up and operate carton flow related equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.

• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
• Conduct changeovers from one format to another.
• Execute necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
• Operate and monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines and assist in troubleshooting machine-related issues.
• Report food safety and quality issues to Plant Management.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of machines and area.
• Follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Focus on continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.
• Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).

This position operates on a 2nd Shift from 3pm-11pm within a food manufacturing environment that follows strict GMP guidelines. The dress code prohibits jewelry and makeup, ensuring a clean and safe work area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piscataway, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
