Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to supervise activities for environmental monitoring and remediation projects. The role involves managing project work plans, including scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and coordination with subcontractors and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Supervise environmental monitoring and remediation projects.
- Manage implementation of project work plans, including scheduling, reporting, and budgeting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and engage with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Plan and design Site and Remedial Investigation workplans in accordance with NJDEP regulations.
- Prepare regulatory reports such as Preliminary Assessment, Site Investigation, and Remedial Action Reports.
- Proactively interact and communicate with clients, stakeholders, and staff.
- Manage client relations, proposal preparation, and budgeting.
- Assist with business development and mentor junior environmental staff.
- Work outdoors in variable weather conditions, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Essential Skills
- Working knowledge of New Jersey environmental regulations and NJDEP technical guidance.
- Project management, budgeting, and financial management experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Science, Geology, or a related technical field.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with engineering, permitting, and design projects for environmentally impacted sites.
- Experience in preparing Soil Erosion Sediment Control Plans and remedial engineering.
- Ability to work independently and oversee contractors in the field.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current with 8-hour refresher courses.
Work Environment
This is an in-office role, within a team of 24 professionals in the environmental division. The work involves engaging in corporate events and activities and offers a flexible summer work schedule. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
