Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical units that meet strict specifications and performance standards. You will apply skilled mechanical principles to fit, calibrate, align, and balance machinery components, ensuring the final product meets quality and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Drilling, tapping, and mounting of industrial machines
- Read and interpret engineering prints, specifications, and manuals to determine assembly processes.
- Utilize handheld tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and drill guns.
- Installing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
- Use precision instruments like calipers to verify part specifications.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
- Identify and document product defects.
- Rework or repair equipment following engineering changes.
- Solve problems and generate new ideas.
- Ensure process cycle times align with standards.
- Perform basic data entry to update job orders.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical machine assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with drilling, tapping, and precision mechanical assembly.
- Understanding of electrical components, circuits, and wiring.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
This is a Permanent position based out of Ramsey, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $64500.00/yr.
