Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager to provide comprehensive project management and coordination of tasks and activities. You will lead the full lifecycle of acquisition and software development programs, from systems engineering and requirements definition through delivery, fielding, and sustainment. This role involves active participation in technical discussions and reviews, providing project status, risk insights, and strategic metrics. You will communicate with management, customers, suppliers, and the quality division to facilitate program success. Additionally, you will assist analytical, technical, and engineering personnel with investigations, problem-solving, and implementation of solutions or modifications to enhance decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project tasks and activities, attend test events, and prepare reports and presentations.
- Lead the lifecycle of acquisition and software development programs.
- Participate in technical discussions and reviews with the team and government customers.
- Communicate effectively with management, customers, suppliers, and quality divisions.
- Assist with investigations, evaluations of data, and implementation of solutions.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and MS Project to track project metrics.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management of technical development programs for DoD projects.
- Engineering Degree (BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or Business or Computer Science Degree with relevant DoD experience.
- Proficient in MS Project and MS Office software.
- Knowledge of DoD programs (Ammunitions, Munitions, Weapons Systems).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and GD&T.
- Project Management experience and ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PMP Certification desired.
- Experience with Army, Navy contracts, and requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively and pay attention to detail.
- Capability to guide less experienced engineering and analytical personnel.
- Knowledge of Engineering development and manufacturing programs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Rockaway, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
