Job Title: Project Manager - Defense and Aerospace Programs
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee defense and aerospace programs, coordinating tasks and activities, attending test events, and preparing reports and presentations. This role involves leading acquisition and software development programs from systems engineering through delivery and sustainment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate tasks and activities, attend test events, and manage visits and briefings.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations.
- Lead the full lifecycle of acquisition and software development programs.
- Engage in technical discussions and reviews, providing project status and risk insights.
- Facilitate program success through effective communication with management, customers, suppliers, and quality division.
- Assist analytical and engineering personnel with investigations, evaluations, and recommendations.
- Implement solutions or modifications to meet customer requirements.
- Integrate intelligent systems into tactical software platforms.
- Use Microsoft Excel and MS Project to track project metrics.
Essential Skills
- Program management experience in aerospace or defense industry.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Project Management experience with ability to multitask.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technical development programs for DoD projects.
- Knowledge of DoD programs, contracts, and requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Guide activities of less experienced personnel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Computer Science.
- PMP Certification is desired.
- Knowledge of advanced technology or electro-mechanical design projects.
- Must be a US Citizen with security clearance requirements.
Work Environment
Our work environment includes a manufacturing and prototype shop located in Rockaway, with services also provided at Picatinny Arsenal. You will split your time between these locations, managing ongoing programs and supporting contracts, RFPs, and proposals for new bids. We focus on munitions, weapons, and system integration, providing full life cycle systems support to the DoD and industry partners.
