Maintenance Mechanic

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and facility systems. This role ensures minimal downtime and supports production efficiency through hands-on technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
• Assist in installation, alignment, and calibration of new machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication skills a plus; PLC familiarity is a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rutherford, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Rutherford,NJ.
