Job Title: Prototype & Sample Supervisor (2nd shift 3pm to 11pm)

Job Description

This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of all prototype, small production, and R&D orders. The position requires directing shift leads and securing coordination with production as necessary. Additionally, you will confirm that operational parameters and key production attributes are documented, with results distributed accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Direct 1st and 2nd shift leads in manufacturing prototypes, small production, and R&D orders.
• Coordinate operations between shifts to assure consistent quality and documentation, aligning on the daily workload.
• Collaborate with leads and the prototype coordinator to ensure completion of all production processes as specified, and document all equipment parameters, recipes, and key attributes.
• Commit to and meet delivery dates for prototype and R&D orders, ensuring the scheduling database is maintained.
• Oversee operations within the prototype team's responsibility and secure assistance from production management as needed.
• Support leads and technicians in acquiring materials and tools to complete work requests.
• Communicate with sales and other departments as necessary, providing updates on prototype order statuses.
• Follow up on rush requests with internal vendors to ensure proper visibility.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues that arise throughout the shift.
• Review weekly timesheets, manage time off requests, maintain security initiatives, and conduct employee performance evaluations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in supervising a team of up to 6 people.
• Manufacturing experience with a focus on prototype products.
• Proficiency with laminates, machines, and troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment involving prototype products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production supervision and the manufacturing process.
• Prototyping experience.
