Job Title: Xray Technologist

Job Description

Join our team as a Xray Technologist, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic orthopedic office. You will play a crucial role in patient care by explaining procedures, preparing patient charts, and maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures and processes to patients.
  • Room patients, take vital signs, update charts, and escort them to the imaging room.
  • Perform medical assistant duties, including recording vital signs, collecting health history, and updating the EMR.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and professional work environment.
  • Prepare patient charts according to the daily and/or weekly schedule, ensuring all records are accurate and available prior to visits.
  • Handle interoffice phone calls, respond to emails and communications from physicians and staff, and monitor the fax inbox—assigning documents to the appropriate secretary.
  • Review and complete assigned tasks throughout the day.
  • Accurately complete and submit timesheets for payroll processing by the close of business on the last day of each pay period.
  • Complete all required training, including new hire onboarding, departmental training, and annual compliance in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager based on business needs.

Essential Skills

  • Laboratory skills
  • Medical and medical technology expertise
  • Experience of more than 6 months
  • Ability to handle about 30 patients a day
  • Comfortable performing both technical and CMA work

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Any experience in X-ray
  • Advanced MD experience, with Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Front and back office experience

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced orthopedic office, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and no weekends. The patient flow is scheduled, allowing for a predictable workday, in contrast to urgent care environments. The office can handle a mix of 30 patients a day or as few as 8, depending on the provider's presence.

Compensation:$40
