Job Title: Ground Support Equipment Mechanic
Job Description

As a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment that keeps airlines, freight carriers, and airports operational. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures on aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or company-owned equipment.
  • Diagnose engine mechanical issues and repair (Diesel, Gas, and LP).
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic start systems using necessary schematics.
  • Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot Powertrain Management Systems.
  • Complete vehicle repair orders and other documentation accurately to maintain quality standards.
  • Communicate safety concerns and customer requests for service to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in engines, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to comply with DOT policies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport-issued ID badge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification/diploma preferred.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Basic tool set required; power tools will be provided.

Work Environment

You will work a second shift from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime. The role is initially contract-based, with potential for permanent hire based on performance and attitude. You will be provided with a comprehensive set of power tools to perform your duties effectively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
