Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Controls Engineer where you will act as an 'internal equipment builder', collaborating with various teams across diverse programs, including Optimus, semi, battery, and drive units. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on multiple projects, unlike other teams that focus on specific areas like battery or energy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program PLCs from scratch, with a focus on incoming projects.
- Work on commissioning-related tasks and hardware commissioning.
- Utilize TIA Portal for programming, ensuring recent experience within the last two years.
- Design full screen applications using Ignition version 8.1 and above.
- Troubleshoot networks using Profinet, even if network troubleshooting experience is minimal.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically Siemens PLCs.
- Experience with TIA Portal in the last two years.
- Ability to program from scratch, rather than just maintaining existing code.
- Familiarity with Ignition version 8.1 for full screen design purposes.
- Understanding of Profinet for network troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in controls engineering, HMI, and robotics.
- Commissioning-related and hardware commissioning experience.
- No more than seven years of professional experience.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
