This position is responsible for payroll, human resources, accounting, and office management for a small start-up R&D facility located in Albany, New York. The role reports to a Senior Executive and provides administrative support to company executives.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to company executives.
- Perform daily office tasks such as scanning, printing, organizing, reconciling, managing work orders, and ordering supplies.
- Track inventory and order maintenance parts.
- Prepare purchase order documents for procurement items.
- Monitor facilities and act as a liaison with the building manager.
- Support staff in day-to-day operations.
- Manage various reports, invoices, and files.
- Interact with customers and internal contacts.
- Manage accounts receivable including invoicing, payment tracking, collections, and physical bank deposits.
- Handle accounts payable by entering bills, scanning documents, communicating with vendors, and processing bill payments.
- Prepare financial statements and various managerial reports.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow and report cash positions to executives.
- Maintain employee records and process weekly payroll through an external payroll vendor (ADP).
- Compile and analyze financial data related to R&D activities for tax credit claims.
- Coordinate with R&D departments to ensure accurate tracking and documentation of qualifying research expenditures.
- Prepare reports and supporting documentation for R&D tax credit filings.
- Support audits and inquiries related to R&D tax credits and financial reporting.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting; CPA preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related area or Associate’s Degree with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar accounting systems.
- Experience with inventory reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial accounting impact of sales and inventory related transactions.
- Experience with invoicing and accounts payable/receivable management.
- Understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
- Experience with payroll and time and attendance software; ADP preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Past working experience with an international company is a plus.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is advantageous.
The role is based onsite in Albany, NY, with work hours from Monday to Friday. This position is within a start-up company in the semiconductor industry, offering strong growth prospects for 2026 and room for advancement into Senior administrative roles.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
