Furniture Assembler – $22/hr

Location: Syracuse, NY

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (OT available)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable Furniture Assembler/Installer to join our Syracuse team. In this permanent, full-time role, you’ll install high‑quality office furniture for large commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and unload office furniture safely at various job sites
• Assemble and install desks, chairs, cubicles, shelving, cabinets, and related systems
• Ensure proper fit, alignment, and stability of installed furniture
• Follow blueprints, installation manuals, and client instructions
• Maintain a clean work area and properly dispose of packaging materials
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Communicate with team members and clients to ensure satisfaction
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper lifting techniques

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in construction labor, mechanical assembly, roofing, landscaping, manufacturing, or similar trades
• Experience operating a box truck or large delivery truck
• Clean driving record
• Willingness to work overtime and travel regionally within NY
• Reliable and punctual with dependable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in furniture installation or carpentry
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture safely
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred but not required)

Work Environment

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with potential overtime during the week and on Saturdays
• Occasional overnight travel required (hotel accommodations provided)
• Work primarily indoors in completed or near-complete office buildings
• May involve warehouse tasks or outdoor loading/unloading
• PPE provided, and employees must wear:
  • Steel-toe or safety-toe boots
  • Work pants/jeans
  • Non-graphic t-shirts

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
