🔧 Mechanical Assembler (1st Shift)

$20-24/hr | 1st shift 6:30am - 3pm | AMHERST, NY

🛠️ What You’ll Do

You’ll be a key contributor in assembling stainless‑steel components and full systems used by industry-leading companies. Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Performing mechanical assembly of custom components and full systems based on daily/weekly build plans
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions
  • Working in small teams of 1–2 to complete high‑precision builds and sub‑assemblies
  • Supporting system staging, cleaning final products, and building crates for shipment
  • Maintaining an organized, safe work area and following all manufacturing best practices
  • Proactively identifying missing parts or potential issues to keep production flowing
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts in organization, workflow, and assembly quality

  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed assembly procedures
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and safety protocols
  • Ability to think ahead, problem-solve, and stay productive throughout the shift
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working 1st shift (6:30am–3:00pm)
  • Team‑oriented mindset for a small, collaborative shop environment

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

  • Basic electrical experience
  • Familiarity with industrial fabrication environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Amherst, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
