Engineering Technician

Job Description

The technician will support product testing for heavy-duty trucks, buses, military, and specialty vehicles. This role involves setting up and executing tests according to defined specifications and procedures, and requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and execute tests per defined specifications and procedures.
• Assemble, disassemble, and perform failure analysis on test samples.
• Troubleshoot and repair test setups using schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
• Build and maintain test stands and equipment.
• Interpret test data and write professional reports.
• Read and apply customer/internal test specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S and safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical/mechanical or test engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of test engineering or technician experience desired.
• Rotating electrics design experience desired.
• Familiarity and competence with the use of test and measurement equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex assemblies, setups, and scenarios.
• Proficient use of hand tools, wiring, and assembly techniques.

Work Environment

The position is 100% based in the engineering test labs, requiring familiarity with technologies and equipment used in test environments. The work environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness, adhering to 5S and safety protocols.
