Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Overview
The Project Manager will lead the execution of customer projects from award through final acceptance, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is pivotal in aligning customer expectations with internal teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Field Service) and global partners. The Project Manager will serve as the primary customer contact, drive project planning and reporting, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Projects will be managed using PMI methodologies. The role will also collaborate with a forthcoming Project & Letter Administration function to streamline documentation and communication workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage full project lifecycle from contract award to closure.
- Define deliverables and milestones aligned with customer contracts and internal capabilities.
- Lead internal and external project review meetings.
- Apply PMI methodologies for structured execution and risk management.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and consultants.
- Foster trust through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Handle change orders, scope adjustments, and escalations.
Planning & Reporting
- Develop and maintain project schedules using structured planning tools.
- Monitor KPIs including on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality metrics.
- Provide timely reports to leadership, including lessons learned and risk assessments.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of project management experience in rail and transit.
- Strong knowledge of PMI project management methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in customer-facing roles.
- Experience with project management tools and process standardization.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP and/or Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects in a global context.
Preferred Skills
- Engineering experience with bill of materials, project control, and change order management.
- Strong customer service and liaison capabilities.
- Skills in scheduling coordination, project planning, and project engineering.
- Forecasting, cost analysis, and customer relationship management.
