We’re looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to help us maintain and elevate our high standards.
Location: Ballston Spa, NY
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Industry: Rail, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense
Level: Junior (1–3 years experience)
✅ 3 Must-Have Technical Skills
- ISO 9001 & Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001-compliant quality systems, including internal audits, documentation control, and corrective/preventive actions.
- First Article Inspection (FAI) & Supplier Audits: Hands-on experience conducting FAIs for electronic components and performing supplier quality audits to ensure adherence to technical specifications and industry standards.
- ERP Systems & Quality Data Management (SAP Preferred): Proficiency in using ERP systems like SAP to manage quality records, track non-conformances, and analyze quality metrics for continuous improvement.
🔍 What You’ll Do
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll be the critical link between our customers and our quality team. You’ll ensure that every product we deliver meets the highest standards of excellence and compliance.
Your Impact:
- Be the primary quality liaison for customer projects.
- Lead the resolution of audit findings and ensure timely communication.
- Participate in customer audits, inspections, and meetings—on-site and in the field.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specs, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and supplier audits.
- Oversee non-conforming material processes and drive corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records in SAP and validate test procedures and reports.
🛠️ What You Bring
- Degree in Industrial, Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience in automotive, rail, aerospace, or defense industries.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Kaizen, and electronics manufacturing.
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
