Join our dynamic team as an Inventory Control Coordinator, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing and executing the release and shipping of products. Utilize various proprietary computer systems to ensure efficient inventory management and distribution processes.
Responsibilities- Research, track, and execute the release and shipping of products using proprietary systems, including an Inventory Management System, Receiving System, Daily Production Scheduler, and national distributors databases such as FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
- Manage and verify the receipt of in-house manufactured goods and process requests based on established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Track and receive materials from external vendors and clients using proprietary inventory management systems.
- Receive and issue finished materials to the In Process Inspection Department for final inspection.
- Utilize First In/First Out (FIFO) methodology to issue materials for distribution to all internal departments.
- Prioritize and adjust to meet daily inventory management tasks by monitoring production schedules and shifting priorities.
- Effectively communicate work status and schedule changes, escalating issues appropriately to leadership.
- Proactively manage workload and adjust based on daily priorities to ensure timelines are met and cost-effective processes are implemented.
- Enter product and shipment data accurately and customize shipping per customer-specific requirements.
- Destroy expired label inventory following established procedures and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional department managers and supervisors to meet company goals and objectives.
- Multitask under tight timelines with minimal errors.
- Account for all inventory, ensuring proper identification of products, prompt return of all labels to inventory, and verification of label IDs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for areas of responsibility and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain and order shipping supplies to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Pack labels into boxes to avoid damage during transit.
- Safely operate tools and equipment, including forklift trucks, hand trucks, and electronic scales.
- Transport materials to and from the warehouse using company-assigned vehicles.
- Maintain orderly work areas and conduct all activities safely, wearing safety shoes at all times.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to do light to moderate lifting of boxes and storage material averaging 30 lbs.
- Effective teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication with all levels of personnel
- Knowledge of customer requirements and profiles
- Availability for overtime, including weekends
- Valid NY State Driver's License
- 1 year of warehouse experience
- Experience in picking, packing, material handling, and inventory management

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bohemia, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
