Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Project Monitor to join our environmental team. In this role, you will manage a range of responsibilities including environmental investigations, regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead-based paint inspections, and remediation oversight. The position requires fieldwork across active abatement projects, performing XRF testing, collecting and recording data, and contributing to technical reporting and analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental site investigations and assessments.
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Perform asbestos and lead-based paint inspections; oversee remediation and abatement projects.
  • Monitor abatement activities in the field in accordance with all regulatory standards.
  • Conduct XRF testing and accurately record data.
  • Provide technical support and produce detailed, high-quality reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or project monitoring.
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification.
  • Asbestos Project Monitor Certification.
  • Air Monitoring experience.
  • Air Sampling Technician Certification.
  • OSHA 40-Hour Certification (Hazwoper).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 40-Hour Certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in environmental remediation and technical report writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
