Phlebotomist Float – Multi-Site Coverage (Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens)
Full-Time | Variable Schedule | Patient Service Centers
We’re hiring a seasoned Phlebotomist Float to support high-volume Patient Service Centers across Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens. This role is ideal for someone confident in their venipuncture skills, comfortable working independently from day one, and ready to adapt to changing site needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws using straight and butterfly needles
- Collect, label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens per protocol
- Maintain 100% accuracy between requisitions and specimen labeling
- Explain procedures clearly and professionally to patients (including urine/fecal collection)
- Decontaminate workspaces and maintain compliance with safety standards
- Update patient records and ensure data integrity
What You Bring
- 3+ years of recent phlebotomy experience in hospital or lab settings
- Proven ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Strong communication, reliability, and punctuality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to pass a phone interview and onsite mock blood draw
Work Environment
- Float coverage across PSCs in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens
- Schedule varies by site: 7 AM–8 PM range, with most sites open 8/8:30 AM–6/7 PM
- Some Staten Island sites open at 7 AM
- Hourly Rate of $25 - $26
