URGENT Blood Bank Technologist - Night

Actalent is urgently hiring for a Blood Bank Technologist in Brooklyn!

Shift: 12am-8am,

Rate: $60 an hour plus 10% differential

Responsibilities

Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the assigned station.

Understand the principles of tests performed and maintain working knowledge of the equipment used.

Work in hematology, responsible for urinalysis, coagulation, and spinal counts.

Ensure that all specimens are put in appropriate storage.

Follow all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results.

Recognize critical or life-threatening results, verify results, and report to the appropriate clinician.

Document all results in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

Must Have:

• 1+ year of Blood bank experience
• NYS CLT License
