Pay: $35-$45 an hour

Shift: 6pm-6:30am Friday-Sunday (every other thursday)

Job Description

As a Molding Process Technician, you will ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and oversee the production process to maintain high-quality standards. Your role will involve reviewing and correcting pharmaceutical batch records, ensuring that all SOPs are updated and adhered to, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Review and correct pharmaceutical batch records with employees.
  • Ensure all SOPs are updated, available, reviewed, understood, and followed by employees.
  • Observe operations to maintain product quality.
  • Verify in-process and line clearance inspections.
  • Inform Quality Department of product quality issues.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and improve safety records.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of finished batch records.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and customer order requirements.
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping standards in all areas.
  • Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks.
  • Achieve adequate production levels while maintaining expected product quality.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communicate technical information and issues to supervisor and other technicians.
  • Monitor equipment operations to ensure product quality meets specifications.
  • Participate in product and equipment investigations and report non-conformities.
  • Troubleshoot and perform corrective technical or mechanical solutions.
  • Perform startups and set-up of molds for all mold changes.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance and repair of molding machines, molds, and peripherals.
  • Ensure molded components meet all product quality criteria including dimensional accuracy.
  • Monitor production schedules and objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in production and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials and processes.
  • Ability to implement and tune all peripherals, including 6-axis robots and grinders.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring/inspection tools.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent, technical school, or related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in injection molding, including machine adjustment, troubleshooting, and mold installation and removal.
  • General knowledge of plastic materials and processes.
  • Good mold and mechanical knowledge.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Congers, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
