Job Title: Mechanical Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Inspector to join our team. The primary responsibilities include performing in-process and first-piece inspections, running programs with reference to engineering drawings, and ensuring all manufactured parts meet customer requirements and procedures. The inspector must adhere to safety regulations and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and first-piece inspection.
- Run programs, cross-referencing engineering drawings.
- Ensure all manufactured parts adhere to customer requirements and procedures.
- Complete assigned work within the given timeframe and according to specifications.
- Follow instructions as provided by the supervisor.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations, including those regarding machine operation.
- Cooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 3 years of inspection experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
- Experience in mechanical inspection.
- Ability to conduct first article inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Aerospace experience is a huge plus.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control.
- Visual inspection and quality check skills.
- Experience in inspecting forming sheet metal and welding.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Work Environment
The work environment is a production setting where inspectors observe racks and inspect the paint of cabinets for server IT rooms. The role operates in shifts: 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to midnight.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
