Job Title: Licensed Project Architect

Job Description

This position involves being a key part of a project team while also working independently, supported by a large, experienced team of design professionals. The role requires proficiency in communicating project requirements, managing projects, and using AutoCAD and REVIT. Exceptional organizational skills are essential. The candidate will engage with clients, contractors, in-house staff, and consultants, necessitating strong communication skills. This dynamic role involves working with all disciplines of the A/E industry on a variety of projects across different market segments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager, providing project team direction, scheduling, assessing project budgets, and meeting deliverable milestones.
  • Manage small teams of architects, designers, and/or draftspeople.
  • Participate in the conceptual development of project designs and drawings for design presentations.
  • Assist with referendum planning efforts for various Boards of Education and prepare NYSED project forms.
  • Visit job sites to survey existing conditions and develop existing condition plans, take photographs, and prepare field memos to document existing conditions and observations.
  • Prepare project reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and other documents required for various project phases.
  • Develop architectural schematic designs and construction documents in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Communicate and coordinate with design team members, architects, Sr management, other engineering disciplines, vendors, building officials, and other consultants throughout all phases of the design and construction process.
  • Attend various meetings, including pre-design, plan review, and pre-construction meetings.
  • Prioritize effectively and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Manage the construction administration process and/or work with the in-house construction administration team from contract award through project close-out.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the A/E industry.
  • Licensed Architect or design professional on path to licensure.
  • Experience in K-12, Higher Education, and Municipal Projects.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture.
  • Experience in designing/drafting, existing conditions, site visits/surveys, and construction documents.
  • Experience with K-12 and residential projects.
  • Capability to manage projects independently with minimal supervision.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goshen, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
