Key Responsibilities

  • Field Inspections: Conduct visual inspections of OH and UG electrical distribution facilities and equipment
  • Data Collection: Use laptops, tablets, GPS, and other electronic tools to gather field data for input into database systems
  • Work Order Preparation: Assist in preparing minor work orders and maintenance reports
  • Storm Damage Assessment: Support emergency response efforts by assessing damage to distribution structures
  • Technical Services: Perform audits, joint use permitting, pad-mount inspections, ground-line pole inspections, metering services, and lighting audits
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards; maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have: your own vehicle (gas will be compensated) and legal drivers' license
  • Experience: None required but below skills preferred:
  • Skills:
    • Familiarity with NESC and utility construction standards.
    • Proficiency with field survey equipment (e.g., range finders, hasting sticks).
    • Basic computer skills (MS Office preferred).
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
