Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our team at a leading law firm. This high-level role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with deep experience in payroll operations within a legal environment. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the payroll process and collaborate closely with various departments to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute full-cycle payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert on ADP WorkforceNow, including system maintenance, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee and administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other firm-sponsored plans.
- Act as the primary liaison between payroll, HR, Finance, and Benefits departments to ensure alignment and data integrity.
- Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead payroll-related projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
- Prepare and submit reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies as required.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of payroll/benefits experience
- Expertise in managing ADP WorkforceNow
- Skilled with benefits administration
- Prior experience working in a Law Firm setting
- Knowledge of state and federal law related to payroll processing
Work Environment
The work environment is supportive and collaborative, offering a hybrid schedule with 2 days working from home in an office setting
