Job Title: Process Integration Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Direct Hire Process Integration Engineer to support our rapidly growing Optoelectronics manufacturing operation in Colorado Springs. This role focuses on first-time builds of highly customized electro-optical products, partnering with design engineering, test, quality, and manufacturing teams. You will own process development, documentation, and change management in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment that is projected to double annual output from 50K to 100K units. This is a hands-on engineering role with high visibility and direct impact on site growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and release manufacturing processes for first-time builds of custom electro-optical products, ensuring traceability and change control in a low-volume / high-mix environment.
- Support fiber optic, optical transceiver, and opto-mechanical products that transmit data via light, collaborating closely with design, test, and quality teams.
- Create and maintain PFMEAs, control plans, qualification protocols, test plans, and SOPs to support scalable production and prevent downstream quality issues.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with PFMEA / FMEA and process documentation.
- 5+ years of experience in optoelectronics, photonics, or electro-optical manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting first-time builds / NPI.
- Cleanroom manufacturing experience.
- Experience transferring products between manufacturing sites.
- Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role in Colorado Springs within a cleanroom manufacturing environment, characterized by low-volume, high-mix production. The position requires heavy cross-functional collaboration with design, test, tooling, quality, and sustaining engineering teams. The company offers strong financial incentives, including a 5% 401(k) match and an additional 7% profit sharing, with a relocation package available for out-of-state candidates.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
