Receptionist & Switchboard Overview
Provides exceptional service to the business by greeting and assisting all visitors and by answering and transferring incoming calls from across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist the public in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Distribute name badges to visitors, temporary employees, and others.
  • Schedule meeting rooms for internal and external use.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls from across the U.S.
  • Participate enthusiastically in company and community service events.
  • Perform light administrative duties and PC support as needed.
  • Serve as a model for the company's Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain and update:
    • Company phone and speed dial lists
    • Brag Board
    • Company calendar
  • Update the automated messaging center daily.
  • Assist other departments with tasks such as:
    • Creating envelope labels
    • Compiling manuals
    • Ordering, maintaining, and distributing promotional items for the Promotional Store
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior switchboard or receptionist experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Clear and professional verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Standard office environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and typical noise levels.
  • Work assignments are varied and may require interpreting and applying complex information.
  • Primarily sedentary work, with occasional walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Moderate dexterity required for regular use of office tools (e.g., keyboard, calculator, hand tools).
