Job Summary:
Waste Connections is hiring an Equipment Operator for our SchenectadyTransfer Station. This is a physically demanding position ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating a front-end loader. In this position, you will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the transfer station.
Location: Schenectady Transfer Station- 2 Weaver Street
Pay Range: $21-$23/hr., depending on experience | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Start Time: 6:00 AM | 10+ Hour Days

What You'll Do:
- Back into the building to hook up to empty trailers, unhook the truck, and operate an excavator to move and mange solid waste at the transfer station
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
- Perform daily inspections of equipment and report issues promptly
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation
- Follow all safety procedures and operational protocols
- Support team needs and step in wherever needed to keep operations moving
- 2+ years experience operating excavators and front end loader
- A strong safety mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
