Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mortgage Processing Manager to lead and inspire our processing team, driving performance, accountability, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a seasoned mortgage professional who excels at building high-performing teams and streamlining processes to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the mortgage processing department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and investor guidelines.
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of mortgage processors to achieve high performance and maintain service-level standards.
- Monitor loan pipelines to ensure files progress smoothly and all required documentation is gathered in a timely manner.
- Resolve escalated issues, working collaboratively with loan officers, underwriters, and closing teams to keep files on track.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance the borrower experience.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of loan products, processing procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Essential Skills
- Experience in mortgage operations and mortgage processing.
- Proficiency in processing supervision or management.
- Knowledge of conventional and non-QM loans, loan processing, and loan applications.
- Familiarity with HELOC, Fannie Mae, mortgage banking, DU/LP, VA loans, FHA loans, and mortgage lending.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Mortgage Processing Management
Work Environment
The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with possible extended hours at the end of the month.
