Job Title: Project Monitor
Job Description
- As a Project Monitor, you will be responsible for providing on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- This role is vital in supporting public health and safety by monitoring abatement activities, performing air sampling, and documenting project compliance throughout the duration of the work.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site oversight of asbestos abatement projects
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitor abatement activities
- Perform air sampling
- Document project compliance throughout the duration of the work
- Collect air samples
- Complete field documentation
- Work independently while supporting public health and safety
Essential Skills
- Experience with asbestos inspection
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling
- Experience in construction
- Comfortable working in the field (Buildings)
- Valid NYS driver’s license and vehicle
- Available weekdays and occasionally on weekends
- Comfortable working around contractors
- Previous construction experience
- Asbestos certificate
- Knowledge of EPA lead and regulations
- Experience with abatement and inspection
- Construction management
- OSHA 40 certification
- HAZWOPER certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor certification or willingness to obtain through paid training
- Knowledge of NYSDOL Industrial Code Rule 56
- Preferred experience with asbestos air sampling and project monitoring
- EPA Lead certification
Work Environment
- This role primarily involves fieldwork, where you will be working on-site at various buildings.
- You will be part of a family-like culture with opportunities for certification and professional growth.
- Work hours are primarily weekdays with occasional weekend duties.
- A valid NYS driver’s license and vehicle are required for travel between sites.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
