Job Title: Construction Superintendent
Job Description
- We are seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to lead a $10M healthcare construction project in Alexandria Bay, NY.
- This role involves managing all aspects of the build, ensuring quality and timely completion while coordinating effectively with subcontractors and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the construction project from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain three-week schedules and look-ahead plans.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality work and compliance with project specifications.
- Report directly to the Project Manager on-site, providing updates and addressing any issues that arise.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed on the construction site.
Essential Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with experience in healthcare projects.
- Proficiency in subcontractor management and a strong understanding of OSHA 30 safety standards.
- Ability to create and manage project schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Willingness to travel to various project locations as needed, including upstate New York areas such as Ithaca, Binghamton, and Rochester.
- Experience in renovations and additions to existing structures is advantageous.
- Adept at working in a team environment and fostering strong professional relationships.
Work Environment
- The position is based on-site in a trailer, providing an opportunity to work closely with project teams and manage site operations directly.
- Candidates should be comfortable with an active construction environment and adaptable to changing project needs.
