We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong hydraulic design experience to lead the development of precision hydraulic components for aircraft
applications. This role involves hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and collaboration across teams to support product development, testing, qualification, and production. Hydraulic systems expertise is required. Candidates must have direct experience designing, analyzing, and supporting
hydraulic components in aerospace or related industries.
MUST HAVES
- 2–5 years of experience in product design for hydraulic components or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of new hydraulic products in coordination with engineering leadership.
- Ensure production readiness and timely delivery of drawings, documentation, and related data.
- Perform engineering analyses:
- Tolerance studies
- Structural analysis (FEA)
- Hydraulic and dynamic analysis
- Develop and execute qualification test plans and procedures.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with customers for new product initiatives.
- Support transition of products from development to production.
- Provide technical direction for qualification testing and fielded product support.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatics and mechanical parts manufacturing for aerospace applications.
- High attention to detail and task management.
- Experience with ANSYS or other FEA tools.
- Vibration and shock analysis.
- Report writing and documentation.
- Troubleshooting and mechanical analysis.
- Familiarity with qualification testing (e.g., aerospace, defense, marine).
- Rig design experience (SolidEdge or other CAD platforms).
Work Environment
- Clean, modern facility with updated machines and a continuous improvement culture.
- Work is split between the shop floor (CNC machines, assembly personnel) and office cubicle.
- First shift hours.
- Business casual dress code.
