Job Title: WelderJob Description

This position operates within a dynamic job shop environment where you will be responsible for creating batches of 10-50 parts per order before transitioning to new products. The role involves primarily Tig welding, with some Mig welding tasks, and a combination of assembling, drilling/tapping holes, and quality inspection.

Responsibilities
  • Spend approximately 75% of your day welding and 25% on assembling, drilling/tapping holes, and quality inspection.
  • Perform welding tasks in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits by following blueprints and layout specifications.
  • Utilize jigs, welding torches, and hand tools for welding mostly aluminum, with some stainless steel and carbon steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and very specific welding prints, working primarily on custom products.
  • Assist the team in assembly tasks.
  • Drill and tap holes as required.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with Mig, Tig, Stick, and Flux welding.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding prints/symbols.
  • Proficiency in assisting with the assembly of products.
  • Strong measuring skills, including reading rulers and tape measures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Saw and cutting experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The position offers a 1st shift schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, including a 30-minute lunch break, with minimal overtime expected. You will work alongside two other welders and collaborate with the production team for assembly tasks. The company provides a supportive work environment, focusing on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
