Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Continuous Improvement Engineer to optimize processes, implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and enhance efficiency in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and leading continuous improvement projects to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvement strategies.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collect and interpret data to measure process performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain departments to implement process improvements.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to execution.
  • Establish 5S programs and train operators on best practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, determine root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure continuous process enhancement.
  • Identify opportunities to implement automation and digital solutions for process efficiency.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reduce waste, improve resource utilization, and lower operational costs.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer.
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field preferred, or additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Excellent project management abilities with a track record of successfully leading improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on role in an extremely clean manufacturing environment. You will spend approximately 70% of your time on the floor collecting data and 30% at your desk conducting analysis. Our recently remodeled facility includes a game room area, promoting a dynamic and engaging workplace. Our product development is driven by a passion for enhancing safety, directly impacting lives.
