Job Description: IT Support Technician

Role Overview

We’re seeking an in-person IT Support Technician to assist with a technology refresh initiative. This role involves direct interaction with end users in a walk-up IT support setting. You’ll be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, deploying PCs, and maintaining accurate asset records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for computer hardware, software, operating systems, and network configurations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently or collaboratively
  • Install, remove, and configure devices and applications
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a face-to-face support environment
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain accurate asset documentation in an internal management system
  • Communicate professionally with users and team members via email, phone, and in-person

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid understanding of IT concepts and technical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills within defined parameters
  • Professional communication and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Experience with ticketing systems, device imaging, and user account support
