Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm

Job Description

Tasks May Include: (Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate may expect)

• Set-up and run laboratory experiments

• Analyze test specimens

• Perform tasks on projects relating to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis. This includes experimental setup, data collection and data reporting.

• Inspection, testing, repair, and installation of equipment.

• Works in one or more areas of technical expertise to develop the capability of working independently on project activities while performing their work under supervision of the project investigator.

• Assists more experienced Technicians, Technologists and professionals on technical assignments.

• Follow the Safety, Health Environmental and Quality Assurance program on projects for which he/she is performing the work

• Record research activities performed in lab book

• Other duties as assigned – i.e. solution preparation, cleaning test cells, moving items throughout the lab, calibrating equipment (following a prescribed procedure)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Chemistry experience or knowledge (From degree or work experience)

- Strong Mechanical aptitude (able to trouble shoot and utilize tools)
