About the Role

As a Therapeutic Medical Physicist, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge cancer treatment, ensuring every dose of radiation is delivered with pinpoint accuracy and maximum safety. What You’ll Do
- Optimize Radiation Delivery: Evaluate dosimetry for x-rays and electrons, ensuring safe and effective treatment.
- Lead Treatment Planning: Oversee plan creation, isodose verification, and final plan reviews to guarantee clinical precision.
- Maintain Advanced Systems: Manage and calibrate linear accelerators (Varian True Beam) and HDR systems, ensuring peak performance.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with oncologists and therapists to develop and refine individualized treatment strategies.
- Champion Quality Assurance: Conduct patient-specific QA and participate in continuous improvement of diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
- Drive Innovation: Lead the evaluation, acquisition, and commissioning of new equipment, software, and systems.
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Physics, Medical Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or Biophysics (PhD preferred).
- Certification (or eligibility) from:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR)
- American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP)
- Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM)
- Preferred: 2+ years of clinical experience in a high-volume radiation center.
- Strong foundation in radiology, treatment planning systems, and radiation safety protocols.
Tools & Tech
- Equipment: Varian True Beam, High Dose Rate (HDR) systems
- Software: Advanced treatment planning and QA platforms
