Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, insightful, and data- or experience-driven technical peer reviews during the design process.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools.
- Lead and deploy teams to successfully complete multiple projects on time and with high precision.
- Select industrial hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, safety components, sensors, relays, and circuit protection devices.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships across all organizational levels.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms, primarily Allen-Bradley, HMIs, and other control software.
- Effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to large, cross-functional teams.
- Support manufacturing operations, including BOM creation, engineering change notice processes, and product release documentation.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
- Strong expertise in controls engineering and integration.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD Electrical and engineering management.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC, Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery, and UL regulatory compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- 10+ years of experience in controls or electrical engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls or Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly skilled with Rockwell Studio 5000.
- Familiarity with control panel fabrication processes and best practices for wiring.
Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite with 15% travel required. A relocation package is offered.
