Job Title: Forge Helper/ Saw operator

Job Description

Join our team as a Forge Helper where you will play a vital role in the furnace operation process. You will assist in loading steel parts onto conveyor belts, cutting steel billets to specified lengths, performing quality hot inspections, and checking parts using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers. Your role will also involve grinding parts to specifications, operating machines, handling materials, and participating in shipping activities using tow motors and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in furnace operation
• Load steel parts onto conveyor belts
• Cut steel billets to specified lengths
• Perform quality hot inspections
• Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
• Grind parts to specifications
• Operate machines effectively
• Handle materials and participate in shipping
• Utilize tow motors and overhead cranes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3 months of manufacturing experience
• Comfortable standing for 10 hours
• Experience with tow motors and overhead cranes
• Furnace operation experience

Work Environment

The work environment is a hot, dirty, and loud forge facility. Candidates should be prepared to work in varying temperatures, from hot conditions in the summer to cold in the winter. Shifts are available across three different times: 1st shift from 6:00AM to 2:30PM, 2nd shift from 2:00PM to 10:30PM, and 3rd shift from 10:00PM to 6:30AM. Specialty roles such as Material Handlers and Saw Operators have specific starting wages and shift differentials.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jefferson, OH.

The pay range for this position is $39041.00 - $43534.00/yr.
