Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift - Pay up to $30/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our machinery, equipment, and building facilities. The role involves working on a variety of maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and building in adequate condition.
- Ensure cleanliness of the building both inside and out.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures.
- Liaise with supervisors, managers, and team leaders regarding equipment and machinery performance and the status of maintenance projects.
- Complete required documentation.
- Undertake other activities as assigned.
- Work with Upkeep maintenance software to log and create events.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of industrial experience.
- Blueprint reading.
- CNC knowledge.
- Balanced mechanical and electrical skills (50/50).
- Troubleshooting up to 480 volts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Shop math skills.
- Above average problem-solving skills.
- Good working knowledge of measuring equipment.
- Above average communication skills.
- Competent operator of lifting devices, machinery, and equipment.
- Working knowledge of mechanics of CNC and manual equipment, welders, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic understanding of electrical and gas (compressed) systems.
- Familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act (sec. 23 through 32) and regulations.
- Nice to have: PLC troubleshooting, CNC repair, Upkeep software knowledge.

Work Environment
The position is based in a 140,000-sq. ft. production facility, featuring extensive fabrication and assembly bays equipped with overhead cranes. The role involves working independently and in teams, primarily in a CNC and welding shop. The facility offers a comprehensive machine shop and advanced processing capabilities, providing a robust environment for technical work. Shift hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with the potential for 40-45 hours a week.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/hr.
