Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Production Operator in a fast-growing, family-owned company specializing in machining and metal fabrication. We are looking for motivated individuals to work on 1st shift in our 71,000 square foot facility equipped with cutting-edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a Laser, a CNC piece of equipment that makes precision cuts.
- Examine blueprints for the finished product, make machine adjustments to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
- Ensure machines are set up properly, operating efficiently, and producing quality products.
- Maintain machines at full capacity, stock them with necessary materials, and perform periodic checks on output.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
- At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with production equipment and machinery for at least 3 years.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools with the ability to perform basic mechanical repairs.
- Possession of personal tools.
- Experience with laser equipment/machinery.
- Ability to read and analyze blueprints.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in machine operation, assembly, laser operation, and using a hand grinder.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teammates.
- Self-motivation and the willingness to stay busy even when tasks are completed.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Work Environment
Experience a job shop environment in a spacious 71,000 square foot facility. Work primarily with automotive clients and other major companies. The work is fast-paced and involves collaboration with other welders in setting up welds. The position is 1st shift, Monday to Friday from 6AM to 2:30PM, with occasional Saturday hours as needed. Dress in jeans, a shirt, and steel-toe boots, with uniforms provided upon direct hire.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
