Environmental Service Worker - 18/hr! - Hospital Setting - Clean and Climate Controlled!

Job Description

Maintain hospital facilities in a clean and sanitary condition, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain a personal cleaning cart daily.
• Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, which includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, and removing soiled linens, with each clean lasting approximately 15 minutes.
• Execute discharge cleans of rooms, ensuring every surface is thoroughly wiped using appropriate cleaning chemicals. This process lasts around 45 minutes.
• Follow strict sanitization procedures to maintain infection control.
• Clean public areas such as lobbies, rehab gyms, cafes, stairwells, and offices. Tasks include vacuuming, trash removal, and mopping.
• Collaborate with nursing and office staff to access and clean all areas at appropriate times.

Essential Skills

• Experience in janitorial work, mopping, sanitizing, and cleaning.
• in cleaning operations with a focus on infection control.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures closely.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals for different applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience in a hospital setting.

Work Environment

Work within a clean, climate-controlled hospital setting, moving in and out of patient rooms. The facility is a newer hospital with 40 beds upstairs and 20 beds downstairs. Choose between the 1st shift, available from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, or the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miamisburg, OH.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
