Diesel Mechanic

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic- 1st shift - up to 28/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a Diesel Mechanic, working on the first shift with flexible start times between 6-9 AM, and ending between 4-6 PM. Some Saturdays may be needed based on candidate experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and fleet vehicles to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and testing tools such as ohmmeters.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs and electrical wiring.
• Coordinate and conduct routine maintenance of fleet vehicles, including diesel motor trucks.
• Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations during maintenance procedures.

Essential Skills

• Experience in welding using MIG, TIG, or stick techniques.
• Strong mechanical ability.
• Certification or schooling as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, fabrication, preventive maintenance, diesel engines, and truck repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preference for candidates with trade school experience, such as Penta.
• Willingness to work on various tasks, including welding, mechanical repairs, truck maintenance, and facility work.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northwood, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
